A stocked mobile bar. Guests buy their own drinks.
With a Cash Bar, Bar Zone brings the bar and an agreed drinks menu, and guests pay for their own drinks. It is an option for hosts who prefer not to fund a per-person drinks package.
From R2 500 setup (Nom Bango) · R3 500 setup (Bar Zone). Travel, venue access, availability and licensing are confirmed in writing.
Setup-fee waiver: for events of 150+ guests, the setup fee may be waived — subject to acceptance based on the projected overall spend. Any reservation, deposit and refund conditions are set out in the written quote.

What happens at a Cash Bar
We arrive with the trailer, set up on level ground with vehicle access, and stock the agreed menu. Your guests come to the counter and pay for their own drinks — by card where signal allows, or cash. You host the event; we run the bar.
- We set up the trailer and agreed menu before service starts.
- Guests order and pay per drink at the counter.
- Card payments depend on local cellular signal — cash is always accepted.
- We break down and clear the bar at the end of service.

Which trailer for your Cash Bar
Both run off their own solar, battery and generator power. The right rig depends on your crowd and venue access.

Cash Bar vs Hosted Bar and Drinks Tab
The difference is who pays and how the drinks are settled.
| Cash Bar | Hosted Bar | Drinks Tab | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who pays | Guests pay per drink | Host pays per guest | Host prepays, then guests |
| Best when | You don't want to fund a per-person package | You want to treat every guest equally | You want a capped contribution |
| Host's exposure | A setup fee only | A fixed per-guest rate | The prepaid tab amount |

Setup fee waived for larger guest counts
For qualifying events, the Cash Bar setup fee is waived when your guest count meets the agreed threshold. Conditions and eligibility are confirmed in your written quote — this is a setup-fee waiver, not a free bar or a zero-cost event.

Good to know
Who pays for the drinks at a Cash Bar?
Your guests do. Bar Zone brings the stocked bar trailer and an agreed drinks menu; guests buy their own drinks at the counter. You, as host, cover the setup fee for the trailer, staff and service.
What is the difference between the setup fee and the drinks sales?
The setup fee is what you pay to bring the bar, two bartenders, five service hours, ice, cups and a card machine to your venue. Drinks sales are settled by guests on the night — that revenue is not yours and not an extra charge on top of the setup fee.
Will the card machine work at my venue?
We bring a mobile card machine, but card speed depends on the local cellular network signal at your venue. We can't guarantee card connectivity at every location — cash is always accepted as a fallback.
How do I request a Cash Bar quote?
Send your date, venue and guest count. We confirm trailer availability, travel, venue access and licensing, then send a written quote. A request is not a reservation — your date is held once arrangements are confirmed and the deposit is received.
