Wedding bar hire without running the bar yourself
Choose who pays for the drinks, select the bar that suits your setup, and give us your venue and guest count. Bar Zone brings the bar and serving team so you can focus on your celebration.
Hosted Bar from R220/guest (Nom Bango) · R250/guest (Bar Zone). Travel, venue access, availability and licensing are confirmed in writing.

The flagship interior is a product photograph, not a past wedding. Both rigs run on their own power — no venue electricity required.
The wedding bar, decided your way
You choose how the drinks are paid for and which bar fits your venue. We bring the trailer, the team and the power.
Who pays for the drinks
Guests buy their own (Cash Bar), you pay per guest (Hosted Bar), or you prepay a set amount and switch to Cash Bar when it runs out (Drinks Tab).
Which bar suits your setup
The flagship Bar Zone for a formal reception counter, or the compact Nom Bango for tighter access and outdoor ground. Both run on their own power.
Your venue and guest count
Tell us the venue, access, and how many guests. We confirm availability, travel, and the right rig for your crowd in a written quote.
Cash Bar, Hosted Bar or Drinks Tab
The same bar and team — the difference is who settles the drinks and how. Hours, staff and exact inclusions are confirmed in your written quote.
| Cash Bar | Hosted Bar | Drinks Tab | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who pays | Guests pay per drink | You pay per guest | You prepay, then guests |
| Best when | You don't want to fund a per-person package | You want to treat every guest equally | You want a capped contribution |
| Your exposure | A setup fee only | A fixed per-guest rate (min 50 guests) | The prepaid tab amount |
| Drinks supplied by | Bar Zone (agreed menu) | Bar Zone (agreed menu) | Bar Zone (pre-approved list) |
Swipe the table sideways on small screens. Hosted Bar has a minimum of 50 guests; unit pricing and hours match the central package data. Exact inclusions are confirmed in your quote.
Bar & Staff Only
If you're supplying the drinks — wine from a favourite cellar, spirits you've chosen yourself — Bar & Staff Only brings the trailer, refrigeration, ice, glassware and two bartenders to serve them. You keep responsibility for the drinks and any applicable venue or event licensing; our team serves and does not sell your stock.

Two bars for two kinds of wedding
The flagship for a formal reception counter; the compact Nom Bango for tighter access and outdoor ground. Both are self-powered.

Bar Zone Flagship Trailer
Granite counter, draught tap and premium display shelving — for the larger, more formal reception.

Nom Bango Mobile Bar
Dual serving hatches, three-door glass fridge and a solar and lithium battery system — for outdoor and tighter-access venues.

These are planning questions to help us scope the bar — not a claim that welcome drinks, cocktails, table service or moving the trailer are included.
Arrivals and service window
When guests arrive, when you want bar service to start, and when it should end — so we staff and stock the right window.
Ceremony and reception sites
Whether your ceremony and reception are at the same venue or separate sites, and how the bar fits between them.
Guest count and menu
How many guests, your drinks preferences, soft drinks, and any venue restrictions on what can be served.
No venue electricity — we bring our own power
Both rigs carry solar arrays, lithium battery storage and a generator backup, so your venue doesn't need to supply a plug point. What we do need is vehicle access for a towed dual-axle trailer and roughly 8m × 4m of level space — a planning allowance, not a certified dimension for each unit.
- Solar and lithium battery power with generator backup.
- Vehicle access for the trailer to reach the setup area.
- Off-grid doesn't mean every site is suitable — send access photos, gate width and turning room and we'll confirm.

Questions couples ask
Do you supply the drinks at my wedding?
It depends on the package. Cash Bar, Hosted Bar and Drinks Tab include an agreed drinks menu supplied by Bar Zone. Bar & Staff Only means you supply the drinks and we supply the bar, refrigeration and team. Tell us which way you're leaning and we'll confirm what's included.
Can you move the bar between my ceremony and reception?
The trailers are towed dual-axle rigs set up on level ground with vehicle access. Moving a rig mid-event isn't a standard inclusion — tell us about your ceremony and reception sites in the quote request and we'll confirm what's practical.
Do I need venue electricity for the bar?
No. Both rigs run on their own solar, lithium battery and generator backup. What we do need is vehicle access and roughly 8m × 4m of level space — a planning allowance, not a certified dimension. Send access photos and we'll confirm the setup.
How far ahead should I book a wedding bar?
Our planning target is around eight days from acceptance of the booking to the event for packages where Bar Zone supplies the alcohol. That's a planning target, not a guarantee — shorter notice is assessed case by case, and required permissions and processing time depend on your event and venue. A request is not a reservation; your date is held once arrangements are confirmed and the deposit is received.
Are welcome drinks, cocktails or table service included?
Not by default. A signature-cocktail menu is an optional paid add-on, quoted on request. Welcome drinks, passed table service and similar extras are agreed in your quote rather than assumed into a package.
Tell us your date, venue and guest count.
We'll confirm which rig fits your wedding and send a qualified quote — so you can get back to planning the day.
